What I owned and contributed.
- Helped lead architecture, implementation planning, release control, and environment decisions across a large Hydrogen program.
- Personally implemented selected storefront and checkout fixes including search behavior, Content Security Policy support, pricing and tax fallbacks, and cache controls.
- Participated in backend reviews, caching workshops, technical ticketing, and deployment-process decisions.
- Used code-freeze and review controls during sensitive delivery windows to reduce release risk.
- Handled client-facing ownership-transition issues when branch and CI/CD expectations affected delivery.
A hard problem
Engineering at a catalog scale that changes the assumptions
At this scale, ordinary storefront assumptions break down. Product count, content, search, customer data, fulfillment, checkout, and backend services all interact with the frontend. My role has been less about owning one isolated feature area and more about keeping technical boundaries, releases, and selected implementation work coherent across the system.

SDG publicly documents the Barnes & Noble work at 14M+ SKUs and 750+ retail stores on a headless Shopify architecture. That scale is a project characteristic, not an individual achievement. My contribution is engineering leadership, direct implementation, release control, and system-level coordination within that program.
