My responsibility

What I owned and contributed.

  • Acted as a primary client-facing technical resource for Shopify data modeling, CMS authoring, product configuration, and third-party ownership boundaries.
  • Personally implemented payment-confirmation behavior across the custom sales application, including persistent confirmations, reconciliation identifiers, and safeguards around asynchronous payment finalization.
  • Diagnosed a cart-pricing issue caused by platform input constraints on unusually complex product data and turned it into a concrete data-contract problem.
  • Clarified frontend, database, API, and integration ownership before decomposing cross-repository work into implementation contracts.
  • Made release decisions based on customer safety when technically complete work still depended on upstream catalog or integration state.

A hard problem

Tracing a pricing failure across product data and Shopify Functions

A customer-visible pricing discrepancy only appeared after a product reached cart. The investigation connected correct storefront behavior, complex product configuration, and a Shopify Function input constraint. The important part was separating where the system was behaving correctly from where data was being truncated, then turning an opaque pricing bug into a concrete contract that could be fixed.

What this project demonstrates

What changed, shipped, or mattered.

JANUS is strongest as evidence of technical authority, full-stack implementation, production judgment, and client trust rather than a single business metric. The work spans commerce, payments, data modeling, CMS authoring, integrations, and custom sales workflows.
