2025–Present
SYRN
Commerce engineering and controlled production delivery for a fast-moving storefront, including gifting logic, complex cart state, localization, integrations, product launches, and recurring releases.
At a glance
My responsibility
What I owned and contributed.
- Personally implemented Gift with Purchase behavior with configurable products, inventory-aware reconciliation, paid-merchandise qualification, a one-gift limit, and checkout locking while cart state reconciles.
- Supported product-launch and localization work across a storefront with tightly controlled production access.
- Coordinated dependencies across design, storefront code, product data, forms, metafields, and integrations.
- Owned repeated release and QA gates rather than treating feature completion as the end of engineering responsibility.
- Helped keep fast-moving merchandising work predictable under frequent change.
A hard problem
Keeping promotional cart state correct under mutation
Gift with Purchase becomes a state-management problem when inventory changes, customers remove paid merchandise, multiple cart mutations race, or checkout begins while reconciliation is still running. The implementation enforced one valid gift, removed unavailable gifts, separated qualification from unrelated incentives, and temporarily locked checkout while the cart reached a valid state.
What this project demonstrates
What changed, shipped, or mattered.
SYRN demonstrates hands-on commerce engineering plus the operational discipline required to release fast-moving merchandising and launch work safely.
